Malaria Vaccine Programme Manager

Sophie is the Programme Manager for the Malaria Vaccine Programme headed by Prof. Adrian Hill. Sophie’s current priority is the management of the UltiMalVax collaborative project, which is using cutting-edge research techniques to develop a vaccine for malaria eradication.

Prior to joining the Jenner Institute, Sophie was a Project Manager for the Modernising Microbial Medicine consortium, and was responsible for the management and delivery of cross-functional projects driving innovation in preventing, diagnosing and treating infectious diseases, not only directly benefiting patient care, but also influencing national and international healthcare policy.

Sophie was previously a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Glasgow, having completed her PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
