Short Biography

Dr. Gulbuse Turan is an enthusiastic researcher in the exciting field of Vaccinology. She completed her medical training in Turkey and bravely worked as a clinician during the COVID-19 pandemic, before deciding to pursue her dreams of a PhD in Clinical Medicine at Oxford University. Her research focuses on developing innovative Virus-Like Particle vaccines to combat Plasmodium falciparum malaria, with the ultimate goal of improving the health and well-being of those in affected regions. As a highly motivated PhD student with a keen interest in adjuvants and their mechanisms, she is committed to making a positive impact in the world. When she's not busy in the lab, she enjoys exploring the stunning architectural buildings of Oxford and sampling new culinary delights.
