Arriving by Bus and Car
City4 Bus (Oxford Bus Company): Railway Station / City Centre / Old Road (Churchill) / Wood Farm.
Alight at Old Road (entrance to Churchill Drive): the bus stop is a few metres past the entrance to the Churchill Hospital site, across the pedestrian crossing.
Arriving By Car: Parking is limited on the Churchill site, and it is often very difficult to find a space, particularly in peak time. If you have no alternative, please allow up to 45 minutes to find a space.
Park and Ride: Both the 700 bus from Water Eaton) and 900 bus (from Thornhill) Stagecoach services stop on the Churchill site.
On-site Parking
There are patient and visitor car parks at the Churchill Hospital. All patient and visitor car parks are numbered, but staff car parks are prefixed with a letter. Parking is 'Pay on Foot'. This replaces the previous Pay & Display system. Pay on Foot means you pay when you are ready to leave, not in advance, so you pay for actual time parked. The first 30 minutes are free. The car parks are run by the Trust and not as a commercial operation. All money raised goes directly back to patient and visitor services.
Please note that traffic disruption is expected until the end of February 2017 as the first phsae of Oxfordshire County Council's 'Access to Headington' scheme takes place at the junction of Roosevelt Drive/Gipsy Lane/Old Road/Warneford Drive. This will have a significant effect on traffice entering and exiting the Churchill site. for more information, click here.
