Speaking at the event, 'The Nobel Prize to Now: building a legacy of discovery to tackle AMR', Prof McShane reflects on why we so urgently need new antibiotics to treat drug-resistant tuberculosis, and how therapeutic vaccines can be used to combat the world's most devastating pathogen. To tackle this global health threat, the IOI has awarded £5m for the establishment of an Oxford consortium to develop new therapies for TB.
