DPhil Student
I am a DPhil student at the Jenner Institute supervised by Adrian Hill, Sumi Biswas and David Mekhaiel. My current research focuses on integrating the HBsAg VLP scaffold (utilised in the R21 malaria vaccine) with sexual-stage antigens of Plasmodium falciparum to produce a transmission-blocking vaccine (TBV) against malaria. This approach aims to interrupt Plasmodium falciparum development within the mosquito, complementing existing vaccines in the effort towards malaria elimination.
Before joining Oxford, I completed my BSc in Medical Bioscience at Imperial College London. I worked on a project supervised by Professor Tregoning on isolating antigen-specific B-cells for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) via FACS. I also worked with Professor Xiao-Ning Xu on VLP- and peptide-based vaccine strategies against SARS coronaviruses.
