Emily Hoogkamer

DPhil Student

My DPhil focus is the early immune response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.tb), and I work both at The Jenner Institute and Public Health England. As part of the ongoing efforts to improve Tuberculosis prevention and treatments, I am exploring different aspects of the immune response and their kinetics. My work is particularly focused on the use of Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) as an infection model of M.tb.
