Emerging Pathogens

The emergence and re-emergence of pathogens with pandemic potential is a continued major challenge to global health; as evidenced by the 2013-2016 Ebolavirus outbreak. Recent outbreaks of known emerging pathogens (e.g. Nipah, MERS and Zika viruses) continue to highlight the lack of viable therapeutic solutions.

There is an urgent unmet need for efficacious vaccines against outbreak pathogens with recognised pandemic potential.

At the Jenner Institute, we are working on developing vaccines for a number of priority pathogens with programs at various stages of development.
