What to do when you think you have a compromised system?

When you machine behaves erratically or is just different, please contact the IT Manager straight away.

If you leave the Virus or Malware you system could be at further risk and may compromise Network data.  The earlier you inform the IT Manager the better.

Virus

Virus’s are programs that are download via the internet, they require your permission and lots of clever systems are employed to make you click on them

Malware

Malware is a global term for unwanted code, this includes viruses, spyware, adware, nagware, Trojans, worms, and more.

Malware is prevalent all over the web and can be hard to detect.

Either are bad news and that faster you act and inform the IT Manager the quicker the resolution.
