I am a senior researcher currently working in the preclinical vaccine development team to support the production and evaluation of novel malaria vaccine candidates (blood-stage and transmission-blocking), with an emphasis on recombinant protein-based and virus-like-particle (VLP)-based vaccine production, purification and QC analysis according to GMP standards. The aim of the research is to generate high-throughput platforms to facilitate the translation of highly promising candidates into clinical applications.
Before joining the Jenner Institute, I completed my PhD Biochemistry study in 2016 at the University of Manchester, working on cryo-EM structural determination of eukaryotic protein factors. I also finished my MSc Cell Biology course at the University of Manchester in 2011 and obtained my Bachelor degree in Bioengineering at Guangzhou University China in 2009.
