Research

Since joining the Jenner Institute in October 2010 I have been working on two novel immunization programmes using viral vectored vaccines: Working alongside Sarah Gilbert and Adrian Hill I have been conducting a phase I study of a 'universal vaccine' for influenza. Progress so far indicates that this approach induces a potent T cell response, and I am currently assessing whether this response is equally potent in the elderly.

I have also been working with Ellie Barnes and Paul Klenerman at the Peter Medawar Building for Pathology Research on a hepatitis C vaccine.
