The Oxford Vaccinology Programme offers training opportunities in vaccinology through a one-week Human and Veterinary Vaccinology course and two-day courses on Clinical Vaccine Development and Vaccine Biomanufacturing.

Human and Veterinary Vaccinology 9-13 November 2009
Clinical Vaccine Development 1-2 March 2010
Vaccine Biomanufacturing 3-4 March 2010

The programme will provide state-of-the-art teaching in both veterinary and human vaccinology, drawing on the experience of The Jenner Institute, the Institute for Animal Health and our partners in industry to provide training in areas related to vaccine design and construction, including: immunology and molecular biology, manufacturing, clinical trial design, immunomonitoring, regulatory strategy, post-marketing surveillance, vaccine financing and the ethics of vaccination.

Who is it for?
Vaccinology is a cross-disciplinary subject and the most exciting developments in vaccinology have occurred when people from diverse research, business and medical backgrounds have used their skills to collectively tackle problems in vaccine design, manufacture and distribution.

Course participants will therefore reflect the diversity of the subject and be from business, academic, clinical and veterinary backgrounds. The course will be of particular interest to research scientists, programme managers, clinical trial coordinators, nurses, physicians and veterinarians. The course will be accessible to people already working in the field or to those who wish to enter the field.
